GTX 787 weird issue

This is now the second time I have seen this before on a gtx with the 787. Will start and run ok. When you take off and running about mid throttle it acts like it is stumbling or missing when trying to accelerate until you hit a wave then all the sudden it will take off and run fine till you slow back down. has me baffled. Any ideas??

That happened to me when a rectifier was going on a 96xp, changed it and never happened again.

Awesome. Thanks! I had heard/read they can cause some weird issues. I will give it a try and report back.

Can I test by unplugging the red wire and running it?

Well no luck. Unplugged red wire and no change. Could it be a coil acting up?

Had the same issue. My CDI box was about 1/4 full of water. Drained it and its been running great since.

I had a similar issue, but not quite the same. The water separator was sucking some air. Caused a really weird mid range stumble, but it wouldn't hit top end very well. Just check it when you are pulling the plug on the rectifier.
