Paid a shop a truck lid of money in Portland to diagnose and repair. ($2300). Ran for a little and ended up with all these problems. Shop claims they replaces the DESS post. Was thinking before I go and replace the ECU, I’m going to replace the start/stop switch again. When I got into the front wiring harness I got to looking at the DESS wires. They looked original- still twisted together and all. So I ordered up a new post and replaced it tonight. I did replace the start/stop switch first with no victory there. All 3 keys work, fires right up. I don’t know where a person finds an honest shop these days, but I can’t recommend the one I used. When I removed the old post, it was very worn looking and not brand new looking like I’d expect. Thanks for everyone’s pointers and suggestions. For less than $100 it seems cured- pretty sure I got taken by the dealer doing unnecessary work.
