Hello!

I have a 1998 Seadoo GTS Bombadier that I picked up last year. THis morning I went out and all was well for a bit. Then is started acting as if it was running out of gas. It would move along and then almost die. It did this several times until it finally stopped.

I have a full tank and it was recently serviced so am I doing something wrong?? Unfortunately I am not mechanically inclined at all...

Thanks!

PS: This is what I have:

If you still have the grey gas lines you may want to get those swapped out. They can clog everything up with a green goo slime. This may be your problem.

It could be a bunch of things... but yep... gray "Tempo" fuel hoses are probably the issue. They will need replaced with regular, black automotive hose, and the fuel system cleaned out. (carbs, filter, fuel valve, ect)

It's not a hard job... but that's up to you.

Take your seat off... and you will be replacing... one by one... all of the hoses you can see. Cleaning out the carbs may require professional help, if you don't feel comfortable taking them apart.

on the gts its easier to tackle from from under the storage bin, most of it is done from there. replace all but the vent line. there is only two lines you can get to from under the seat, and those are the carb feed and return. you need 22 foot of new line.

same issue here too..

I dont want to hyjack this thread but I am having a very similar issue with the same year GTS... hoping maybe we can figure out both of our problems at once.

I didnt use my ski last year, but was winterized for storage, after a new battery, gas, and oil, I fired it up and ran great for an hour on the water then started getting the same sluggish issues and "no gas left" feel to it that you described. It will idle fine but when I press the throttle it boggs and dies now. It did run great when I parked it the other season.
I have switched out the fuel lines previously as well, What would be the next steps to check.

Thank you

when you changed the lines, did you clean the inturnal carb fillters as well? if you did, did you top the tank off and keep it full over the winter? if not you've prob got water in your fuel.
