Hey!

Well, now that summer is coming up, and i was thinking to go run a bit with a GTI LE 2002 80HP, i pressed the start bottun and puffff! it dont turn on, instead of it, she try to turn on for like 2 secs then start "BIPPPPPPPPPPPP" and the red light turns on. I already tried to charge up the battery, but nothing, battery have 3years do you think its time to change? and what can that "BIPPPP" sound be?

when "wet" batteries sit dead... they build a sulfate layer on the plates, and they normally don't come back to life.

I'd say it's time for a new battery, and if you want it to live longer... check it every few weeks during the winter, and charge it as needed. (or put it on a tender)
