GSX Limited restoration project

Hello all,

I have the opportunity to pick up a 98’ GSX Limited 951 for $499 plus shipping (probably $400-$500) the hull looks descent but the motor looks like it’s partially disassembled in the hull. My question is, is it worth it. I’m very mechanically inclined. I have a shop to work on it and I have worked on several older Sea doos (96’ XP 800’s). What is parts availably like on these things? Any really expensive parts? Pitfalls?

Parts are readily available. You will have at least $1,500 into it to get it going correctly if its just the engine that is bad any you do all the work yourself assuming nothing electrical is bad. For $500 I would say yes it's worth it but for $1,000 including shipping probably not.

Yep, that’s what I was thinking. It’s missing the jet nozzle from the looks of the pictures also
