Grips for stock '96 XP

Have you tried the ODI Ruffian grips, maybe those would work for the WOT problem. I can't really find any dimensions, but they look thinner in the picture.

Amazon has them, can't attach the link though.
 
Gotcha, yeah I might try a regular diameter set of aftermarket grips on my next ski. The fat diameter rogues just create that wot issue.

Dang, my springs return ok, just not quickly enough for me nor are very confidence inspiring. I guess its all up to owner/rider preference.

I don't use fat grips but I have used all the major brands and styles of finger throttles and always been able to get WOT. When I built my Big Red GSX I remembered how my finger and wrist get tired during races and long rides. I actually removed one of the carb's return springs for less throttle tension. I don't recommend it to others because if the linkage pops off one carb wouldn't self return.

When the stock throttle action becomes stiff it is usually a build up on the throttle shafts.
