I designed a way to use the RAM mount and a GoPro mount on my 2005 GTX without drilling holes. I’m sure it will work with other models with this type of steering. I purchased a iPhone case that’s waterproof and has a battery built in. I use the Navionics app. I now have a robust mounting system and have my cell phone with me. The pics below are the bracket which is stainless steel and the mounts are screwed to it. The hose clamp allows me to secure it to the steering column without drilling anything. Hope this gives anyone looking for a mount some ideas.
