Been shopping around for a replacement crank for my 96 GTX. Working on a bit of a budget, so checked for refurbs. STB had the best price ($275), but $90 round trip shipping seemed a bit steep and their parts reputation seemed questionable. Others had refurbs for a bit more, but shipping was cheaper, so it was a push.
Ended up locating a Hot Rods crank on eBay for $388 shipped. Dealer had a decent feedback (99%, 2458 responses). Figure in $38 cash-back through Bing.com and it comes down to around $350 shipped. Was this a decent deal or should I have looked around more? I see that opinions on Hod Rods vary, but I figure a new item for the price of a refurb would be a better deal.
