Getting water in cylinders when ski is left in water

I have a 2003 GTX 4-Tec supercharged. Ski runs great and no issues as long as I don't beach it or tie it up at the dock (it's normally kept on a jet dock). Anytime I beach it or leave it in the water I have a hard time starting it. I pulled the dip stick and had milk. Checked the plugs and had water. Changed everything out and had it running great. Next time i left it floating for 20 mins... same issue. Any ideas where the water is coming in from? Figure it must be the flush connector or exhaust outlet. Is the a one way valve somewhere that could be letting water past?

No one way valve in the system. Are you sure it's lake water and not coolant getting into your oil? Your exhaust manifold could be cracked and leaking lake water into your cylinders.

One of 3 ways you can get water in the cylinders. First one, you suck water in through your intake (this is unlikely in your case), second is a cracked leaky intercooler (also unlikely because that will most likely cause it to not run 100%), and third is a cracked water jacket in your exhaust manifold which allows water to back flow into the cylinder with the open exhaust valve when the motor is shut off and no exhaust flow is present. The last is most likely your case.

What he said. And yes no intercooler on the 2003. Completely missed that little detail in his description.

Yeah the cracked jacket in the manifold makes sense. Thanks for the advice.... I'll pull it out and see.
