Gasket sealer for exhaust manifold

I'm about to replace the gasket between the exhaust manifold and the tuned pipe on my 97 Challenger. I have the service manual, but I don't see any recommendations for using a gasket sealant.

Should I be using a sealant, and if so, any recommendations on what kind?

I'm pretty sure it's permatex copper that is recommended for that gasket.

or high temp head gasket sealant(red/orange in color). Read on tube, it'll say if "ok" in contact with gas...

I doo not know the official answer.

But I would probably use orange HIGH TEMP Silicone.

That stuff is very forgiving, and easy to clean up, compared to other methods.
