The other day I had put 93 octane in my ski. The manual says to use 87 in my ski. After a shot time riding, my ski began to have really strange sound . The engine specifically made a different sound then what I am use to. At one point it seemed like I had weeds stuck in my intake due to the engine sound, when I checked nothing was there. The shop said no way was it the 93 octane gas causing this unusual revving sound. He urged me to immediately bring the ski in to have it looked at (for a diagnosis fee of $115). Long story short, I never brought my ski to the dealer. I refilled my ski with 87 octane, and took it for a test drive. Magically the high pitched revving sound was gone and the problem was solved. The ski is running great now.

What ski do you have? A short answer not knowing the particulars, you got some bad gas, water or dirt, or both in the gas. Your ski should run fine on 93 octane gas. Does the manual specifically say not to use premium gas? If it's a supercharged ski it might be worth the $115.00, to see if you have a problem, if not I wouldn't worry about it.

Seadoo GTS, the book says 87 octane. Then it states not to use any other type of fuel. I had the ski out today for a few hours and it is still running great.
