We took the boat out for the first ride since we brought it.

Started and ran excellent. Good take off and planing.

I found it a little hard to control being so short at low speed. Seemed like I was always over correcting.

Now for the problems.

All the important idiot lights worked and the double beep was present.

No Tach, No speed Odometer, and I think No Gas gauge.

We filled it up and it registered full but never did change on a 2 hour ride.

Is it possible I have a blow fuse connected to all 3?

Where are the fuses, so I can check them.

I noticed on the rear of the boat the little v shaped fitting which I think may be the speedo pick up. It has a little brass fitting that spins, with little short knobs on it. I feel it all may be electrical but I don't want to dig into it until I get some experienced advice on what to look for.

Thanks,

I don't have a lot of time playing with the newer 4-tech boats... but I think all the fuses are in the electrical box. You will have to open it up to get to them.

As far as your fuel gauge... if you really toped off the tank, and weren't running hard for 2 hours (mostly full throttle) I'd say you may not see your gauge go down. On my sportster... I've noticed that I have to go down at least 1/3 of the tank before the gauge comes off of "Full".

I bought the operators manual for the 4 Tec but not much technical info in it.

I guess I am going to get a service manual. Hopefully it will have trouble shooting techniques in it.

Where is the fuse box actually located?

Once I check the fuses and if it doesn't fix the troubles I will move on to actually looking for presence of voltage at the gauges.

If anyone has trouble shot any tach or speed o troubles, your tips would be greatly appreciated.

I got the same problems

My tach (left side), speedometer, and left portion gauge circle isnt working... I checked the fuse but that works.. if u take it out then both tachs dont work.. I think it might be a wiring problem but have no clue.. is there a fuse hiden away somewhere??? i need some help with this one..
