Wow super job! I've never seen those colors before. I like your attention to detail. Welcome to the forum!

I'm interested in your sponsons. Do those pegs help it turn better?

That's awesome looking! Please post more pics. Very nice job.

I put a pair of sponsons off a rxp didn't work it nose dived the ski, i pulled them off and the stainless bolts were left over,i was thinking of making my own sponsons out of stainless steel plate any suggestions.the color scheme was off a seadoo 2002 model but i kept the original design, i didn,t like the white/grey/yellow/combo that seadoo did.

Superb. Year 1989 was the first year the Sea-Doo was reborn after the failed experiment in the 60s. This is a piece of collection I think.

No that was 88. The body comes apart under the seat on a 88, only year for that.

I have a ski with that hull that has a set of the early GTX sponsons. It handles perfectly, or at least my idea of that which is a ski that rides on rails and turns on a dime.

Funny, Wikipedia mentions 1989. They are wrong! But you are right, I found a reference to 1988. Whatever, a functioning 1989 must be very rare. Looking a these pics is like looking at old ski-doo's!
