A friend gave me two Bottles of Enzyme Fuel Treatment I never heard of it before and was wondering if it is OK to use in my 2 cycle boat. It's made by Starbrite. Starbrite has great wax but I don't know about fuel treatment. What do you think?

This stuff is good.

I read in another thread on this forum that this gas treatment negates the effects of alchol in the gas. So if you live in an area that mandates ethanol in the gas use it. Don't know what else it does. I use a gasoline additive sometime myself, but not every tank.

Personally... most fuel additives are snake oil.

If the alcohol is in the fuel... it's in there, and there is nothing you can do short of distillation to remove it.

The only additive I will trust to a 2-stoke engine is Stay-bil for storage. It's proven to work, and doesn't cause issues with the oil.

My 2 cents.

startron seems to be the best fuel treatment for fighting the effects of E-10 gasoline, follwed by sea-foam. I was talking with a tech who owned a marine shop. He agreed that startron showed good results as far as saving fuel lines from drying out due to the alcohol.
