I have a 97 xp. It is very hard to start and then it dies. It doesn't seem to be getting fuel. You can put fuel in the spark plug hole and it will try to start. I have cleaned the fuel filter, bought a new selector valve, and cleaned the carbs. I am about to change out the fuel lines. i was just wondering if that is the problem or could it be something else like the in the baffle or something.

Have you replaced the spark plugs? It might be the plugs are fouled. Sometimes if you remove teh spark plug caps and cut 1/4" off the wore and replace the wire it is assured it is getting a good spark. If it still isn't getting fuel, the carbs are dirty or out of adjustment. Check the fuel lines for being plugged and replace them if you gonna anyway.
