At what gallong level does the Resserve tank start to pick up fuel? and the On not work?

I just got done having my carbs and fuel lines cleaned and may still have some residule BAD FUEL (that gelled up?) the gel crap gets past all the filters and clogs the carbs up!!

anyway i Siphoned out all the fuels I could a two times and think I may have gotten it all? But want to add fuel and not a TON in case I need to siphon it out and toss it again.

I want to make sure I can test the petcock and make sure both on and RES or functioning.

How many gallons do i need to add to do this?
will 5 Gallons do it?

Should I add SUPER or just 87 octane

If I still have stuff in the tank that won't come out via siphon I think i will have to have the engine pulled to get the tank out to get it completely flushed.

I believe your fuel tank hits reserve at 4.5 gallons, if memory serves me right...
Use 87 octane as anything higher is just a waste of money. Unless it is ethanol free at higher octane...then use it for the difference$$, it will last longer and not absorb moisture.

I put in 7 gallons and it RAN like a champ!!! No issues Ran it for about an hours or so and I think I am good to go!!!
No need to replace the petcock. And I think all the junk must have already made its way out of the tank and it now cleaned out :).
