Fuel leak at carb - 97 GSX

Took the Seadoo's out camping with us this weekend and ended up having a major fuel leak at the supply line going into the carbs. I noticed it the morning we going to leave as there was fuel leaking out of the hull drain plugs.

I tracked it down and it is coming from the fuel line that comes from the fuel/water separator/filter to the carbs. It leaks at the carb. At first I thought it was a crack in the line where it connects to the carb. Upon further investigation (finally getting a mirror to look under the carb), it is actually leaking at the brass nipple that the fuel line connects to. That brass nipple is pressed (I presume) into the carb body and the fuel leaks out at that pressed connection.

I'm going to pull the carbs off tonight, but I need to know if there is anyway to seal that back up? Can I pull it out of the carb body and use some type of epoxy to glue it back in? Is there no hope and I need to look for another carb?

There has to be a way to fix this. Unfortunately, I only have three days to try and get this done before we are going camping again at the lake and I want to take the GSX with us.

Any ideas?

Ok, so I pulled the carb off....
Yes, the brass fuel line nipple is cracked. Right at the base near the carb body.
Now....I can go ahead and break it the rest of the way off and then drill out the remaining portion inside the carb body. And then figure out a way to get another nipple/fitting in there.
Or....do I try to brase the crack like you would on other types of brass hose fittings (assuming I could get all the gas out of the carb - not my preferred choice, btw).

Is there a special type fuel nipple I should go back with or can I use any type of fuel line nipple in its place that I can get to fit?

I would try to find someone with some parts carbs if it actually cracked. The curve is there for obstruction reasons, so it really needs to match.

In looking further at the carb body, it looks like I only need the pump assembly/housing. That is the piece that the fuel nipple is pressed into.

Anybody have a junk carb lying around that the pump housing is good on that they would like to get rid of? I would need to try and have it hear in San Antonio, Tx by Wednesday, though.

The thing that sucks about all this (besides I couldn't run the ski this past weekend), is we just had the carbs rebuilt just over a year ago!

That carb is a Mag 270500284 BN-40I (SB)

Part number 270500269 BODY-PUMP ASSY

ANYBODY HAVE JUST THE BRASS NIPPLE Sorry, I don't.

There is a shop here in town that has a few old ski's laying around that I have gotten a few parts off of before, but they won't be open until Tuesday. I will try them and see if they have some junk carbs there with the part I need. Otherwise, we'll have to change our plans for this upcoming weekend....:(

Where was the crack? Mine is right at the base of the elbow right where it goes into the carb/pump body. How does JB Weld hold up against gasoline?

Putting JB weld on it and seeing if it will work. I feel I don't have much to lose at this point anyway. I'll keep you posted....

I broke a nipple off one carb on my xp and jb weld over it and ran a t-fitting and it's holding up just fine it's been a year so far so good

So after the JB Weld sat overnight, I started putting things back together this afternoon. Went back pretty easy, until I had a slight mishap with the throttle cable....it won't go into details as that's for another thread..., but I got it together and it runs. So far, so good. I'm going to let it sit thru tonight at least and see if anymore fuel leaks out.

Cross your fingers...
