Does anyone know the part number of the replacement. Working in my brothers 1998 xp and the fuel gauge doesn't work and that's the issue, I want to make sure I get the right one. Anyone know????
I tried to repair mine to save some money...it didn't work. At least I'm at a point where I can pop the baffle out real quick. They must get pin holes and not leak at the seams.
You can check the baffle real easy with an ohm meter. Unplug he baffle and see if you get a reading. I think 92 is empty...that's what mine is reading now.
I've seen repairs and repaired ones for sale. Me? If I'm going to be on the water with 15 gallons of explosive liquid between my legs, and electricity near it... I'm going to buy a new one. They aren't cheap, but sure beats any chance of a bad day
I personally am not worried about it. Remember almost all cars today have an electric fuel pump in the tank and none of them blow up. Except for your fancy Tesla Sqrl, LOL.
