Frustrated / Sea Doo Threads that are LOCKED: "Not open for further replies"

On numerous occasions I've wanted to reply to a Thread with relevant Information that may Help others and then finding that the Thread has been Locked and Say's: " Not open for further replies".

This Common Practice on this Forum doesn't seem to Exist on other Forums of Information Sharing?

Anyone else besides me have a problem with so many Threads having been Locked?

I believe it is to stop people from replying to inactive/old threads instead of starting a new thread for their problem. As far as I know this is fairly common and very reasonable in my opinion.

Why start a new Thread when an Old Thread that is still relevant be kept going rather than having Multiple Threads all over the place? Simple "One Stop Shopping" for the same Topic...
