We have a 2008 150 speedster. In the bow on this model there is a seat but it is only fiberglass. My wife likes to sit there when we are just cruising. I have noticed that some of the older speedsters have a actual seat in the bow. Does anybody know if I can buy a seat to put here or would it have to be custom made? Thanks

Well....

When I bought my boat, the front seat was missing. I made a seat out of 1/2" plywood, foam, and vinyl.

I made a template with a large sheet of paper, and Then I cut out the plywood. Then, I coated it in a thick layer for Polyester resin to make it water proof, and then I put on the foam and stapled down the vinyl. It is held in place with 5 push in body rivets. (you can get them at the auto parts store)

It's not perfect, but looks OK.

You could use the same technique to build a custom seat for your bow.

I know that this is an older post but had a question about your seat.

It looks great by the way, but did you just remove the straps underneath it? I see in the microfiche the straps go over the seat. I guess to be used as something to hang on to?
