What is the procedure for going from saltwater to freshwater or visa versa. I am thinking of going down to the keys and taking my boats. Is there a protical i should follow from going to saltwater and then back to freswater. I don't want to ruin anything and keep my boats running well.

If you go from fresh to salt and then back to fresh you have it made. You can run the boat for 10 minutes in the fresh and it will clean out the salt water.

That's generally what we do. If we take a rip on salt, we generally head out to the lake for a rip in the fresh to clean everything. (Much easier than the hose).

Rule of thumb is if you going to be in salt water for more than a day, you should run it on the hse and flush it out. Spray the seadoo down real good with the hose after running it. Use wd-40 in the hull area on the wires ect. to displace the water after water spraying. I also spray wd-40 or silicone all over the jet pump assy to prevent corrosion after salt water use. Rinse the trailer real good too. Always disconnect the wire harness on the trailer, before backing in any water ...especially in salt so it won't cause wire corrosion from electrolysis.
