For those who keep asking "what adapter do I use to Flush my ski/boat"?
I bought a new one at Lowes for my GSX in Florida so I shot some pictures of it before I installed it.

The male threaded part stays on the ski at all times, just make sure it tightly screw on.
The other part gets put on the hose whenever I flush it. then, just pull back on the ring and insert it over the "nipple" that you already put on the ski.

Well I know that seems like a good idea but at the point that you install that male peice is the exit of cooling water and the size of orrifice that you are installing on ski is much smaller and therefore water will not flow out as fast and effect cooling of engine! Sorry for the mega run on sentence!

actually no, i've used quick connects for a long time, no issues. i don't run full water pressure either, like 1/3, just enough till I see water coming back out of the pump and the pisser, you don't need high pressure when flushing. I don't think you want high pressure at all.

the quick connect will work just fine IMO

like spim said, the quick connects are the same or so close it doesn't matter to the ID of the outlet pipe. besides, there are restrictors elsewhere in the cooling system to keep water from flowing through the system too fast.

yip, if quick connex were bad for a ski engine, I would have killed a half dozen of them already :) And I will stress, i've never run a full 40 lbs of pressure thru, probably about 1/3 "throttle" on the water spicket :)

when I had my 97 with the flush valve in the back, i had a 6" piece of hose extension that i'd screw in with one of these shutoff valves attached.

the 6" was just to make it easier to turn the water on/off so it wouldn't be tucked under the hull and hard to reach.

Actually on some models...im thinking about a 98 GTXL I took apart...it actually comes with a quick fitting on the machine, and the other fitting in the tool kit.
