damn, that add looked legit, FL reg numbers, tampa phone number....

anyways, can anybody find me that dolly/cart that attaches to the hitch and raises and lowers

has anybody actually called on that ski?

it could be someone who legititmately posted on that export site to see if any bites from foreigners, but is really selling it for what imo, is what it's really worth, 3Kish, looks like the market is pretty slow nowadays

Well I got the bugs worked out of the 95XP that I got from Spim. I'm looking for an end of the season performance enthusiast out there. I can always swap it to stock and sell it in the spring for a quick $1200. I'm pretty sure I've got every shade of yellow represented here. http://okaloosa.craigslist.org/boa/4110892339.html

And here is the little SPI my son and I fixed up: http://okaloosa.craigslist.org/boa/4110824474.html It will sell eventually just like it is. Other skis in that price range have issues and needs.

The good news is that I think I may have done a good job with the RXX rebuild. I was quiet because I had a couple water leaks on the pipes but all seems well now. Time will tell. I even threw a 717 with Carbs and a Rossier pipe in my old 1990. So the only ski around here you couldn't walk up to and crank and ride is the carbon Fiber GSX hull I found recently. That's a much different situation then a couple weeks ago. I've been working at it every day and finally feel like I've gotten somewhere.

That's awesome. Pretty slick.

A guy at work wants the 95 for $1200 so I took it of CL. I can't wait to see what an empty trailer looks like again.

ya the market IS pretty slow these days, any 2 stroker that is pushing the $3K barrier is hitting resistance due to the fact that you can get a 4 stroke for not much more, granted there is always a downside to any purchase. I was semi interested in that ski because it looked pretty clean, and the trailer is "sellable" but it wasn't enough to entice me to take the long drive up, especially if its just a 2nd ski, personally I think myself and others are looking at models like that and being patient, waiting for ones that offer more for less.

nam, why not just use a standard rolling stand ?

99.jpg

I have one of these still in the box at home, It cost me $120 + 20 delivery bonus to toro, so i'd sell it for my costs, i can always get another, I haven't assembled it yet because I haven't needed a 2nd stand. Heck, I rarely used my big $300 stand, since the ski spends its time on the trailer right now, but come december, it will have to get moved onto a stand weekly.

the footprint might be too big for your tastes tho....

I think I can get you a used aquacart pretty cheap as well, under $50, but it might take about 3 weeks before I can pick some up. I need to call my guy and see if he still has some in stock.

My plan is to build a rack so I can store the XP and the HX in my shop this winter, potentially stacking them. I already keep the Speedster in the barn in the back ground. Not sure I could ask my neighbor if I could keep all my toys in his barn. And at least now if I want to swap trailers I can do it easily by carefully setting a ski on a piece of plywood for a day. These things multiply like rabbits.

Damm,
Had I know to do that with my engine hoist, I would of keep it.
:D

Matt send me a buyer for my XP!
Please..............

hey spim, thanks for the suggestions, i already have this, which does the job well for the stand and pulling it back and forth with the big wheels

http://www.harborfreight.com/steel-mesh-deck-wagon-38137.html

but i need a contraption to get the ski on and off the truck bed bymyself, it's still pretty damn heavy, and bulky. I figure if I get one of those jacks, i'll just ratchet strap it down on the back of the truck and drive 3-5 minutes down the road.

I really like the idea of this lift and i can lift the whole cart with it, but i'm pretty skeptical of it's 500 lb capacity

Nam here are some ideas

Harbor freight used to sell one that slid into the receiver hitch and was electric. Call your local Harbor and see if they have 47591 in stock. Or this guy has them for pick up only in FL, take the Mrs. to the beach for dinner and a lift.

Or one of these, bolt some 2x4 to is with carpet and park parallel to the water and you can James Bond onto it.

Or this PWC rack, but I think you get the idea.

thanks summer and racerxxx, i've seen all of those, i kinda like red hoist one, but I don't imagine it being that easy to operate once the weight of the ski is on it, because it looks like it slides in and out from the top bar, i really like the price of that deezee box storage one, but i'd have to lift it by myself, which could be doable, but i imagine the 7 feet ski getting pretty finnicky, the power lift is pretty cool, i even ran across one in CL

Go low ball the old fart, they were $299 new from Harbor. Offer a hundred and tell him you can grow his hair back for him. The grab some of the Spanish moss from the trees and glue it to his head.

Seems to me this one you posted http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B006THB2N2/ref=nosim/homeenteguys-20 could be made with a little ingenuity and a trailer tongue jack. That is of course if you or someone you know has access to a welder and the ability to use it.

yea you're prob right, but for all the effort, and supplies, i'd rather just go the premade route, also no access to welder, unless i go find a shop

Honestly I would probably do the same thing. That's just what came to mind when I first looked at it.

Or you could take the time to design and build one specific for PWCs, patent it and sell them. Then you could ride all day while the case rolled in.
