66MPH? That ski has never been 10mph less than that under it's own power. Not saying that it's a bad deal, I just don't like doing business with someone who starts by lying to me and then insists it's true. You gotta work hard for every singe mph over 60 even with larger engines. :bs:
 
Missed out on this one and I am really upset. Guy said he couldn't understand why he got so many calls on it. I asked a bunch of questions and then let the cat out of the bag. The stickers on the Hull supported what the ski had. UMI steering, NOVI carbs, Skat Trak Magnum pump and he sorta confirmed it had a pipe and I'm sure the list went on. He said the guy who got it gladly gave him the 5 bills. Win some you lose some, but they never go that cheap with any go fast goodies up here. :banghead::cuss::banghead::cuss:

From what I heard it was a great loss. I would have bought it at two or three times that money. I shop every day for this stuff and these are realistic "actually sell it now" prices for racers that are friends swapping parts:
Scat pump -$500 to $1200 depending on which one
Novi carbs -$600 to $1200 depending on condition and series
UMI setup -$300 to $500
I'm hurting for you triple X

I might hop on that hood then, I really gotta order my flipping seat. I burned the day laying carpet. Trying to get my basement finished again for the second time. It's looking prime time right now. I'll be finished up shortly and be on.

I'll have to tell my wife that i'd like to lay some carpet, we have the next 4 days off together :)

First off, you guys slay me! Those sayings both take me back to high school days. Ever go and watch the submarine races with a girl?


Anyway to the real upset, and mind you I came in real late on it. So first off I'm pissed the page was still up and I got my hopes up big. So I called the cat today about his 99 XP. Well by all the stickers on it and the APBA sticker I knew it was raced for sure. The guys was super nice and took the time to answer my questions. His buddy bought it from Mark Doherty? whom raced it. When his buddy was done with it he GAVE it to this guy. Well she went under in hurricane Sandy--- I could care less. He just couldn't understand WHY it was getting all this attention for a 99. So I said to him, did the handle bar pad say UMI, YES, told him there was an easy $350. I asked does it have aftermarket carbs and flame arrestors, YES and I told him by the stickers they were probably NOVI carbs, said there is another $500. Asked did it have an aftermarket jet pump, YES, well that could have been close to $2K new and probably woth a minimum of $500, asked did it have an aftermarket exhaust, he said that he believed it did. I told him he basically let an EASY $1500 in parts alone slip through his fingers for $500. He also said the guy didn't hesitate to give him the $500, lucky dog. So here is the pic of it. I was really hoping for it, the Mrs. was even onboard. My wife even said you need to just jump on this stuff if you think you could turn a profit on it. Wish I would have been on that like stink on Sh__. It even has dual registrations on it. I was hoping possibly someone from here scored it, that would at least ease the pain, even though I was late to the disco!

Offer submitted, we'll wait and see. I'm selling some limited Nintendo stuff on Ebay that ends in a few days, that will cover me on the hood and put me up a few bucks. Thanks Nam, this will work out great since my Dream-O-Meter is roached and so id the VTS gauge. Dream-o I could careless about, it's gonna be either on or off! With shedding that pound of weight I can have lunch before I ride now and still be just as fast.

oh, what are those blank caps called? the ones that cover the gauge if it doesn't have it, cause I think I'm getting the 3 pod cover

Well, Thanks OCOD! and thanks to you Nam for passing on it!

Just bought it I got it for $31.45 and with the shipping an even $50. And now with all these "extras" like the seat cover(was going to buy my own vinyl) and the mats(was going to run the stockers), Single gauge hood(was going to run my stocker) I'm way past my original budget. Thanks guys for busting my budget bubble. Ah, it's gonna be bitchin' anyway, might as well enjoy it while in still breathing! If only I could get down there for the ride! Best not push my luck.
