thanks name for the funny craiglist spam's you sent me last night, I needed a laugh, and a reminder to pull my listing.

this listing is a reminder that the older 4 strokes are really getting reasonable.

$3200 for a good running 4 tech.

I swear you couldn't find anything with a 4 stroke for less than $4500 just a year or so ago.

Its going to soon be near impossible to sell a 2 stroke ski for anything over about $2,000, no matter what condition.

98 GSX Limited for $700, hmmmm. how low would he go ? I'm wondering if I showed up with $400 and a trailer if I could take this home.

I have to wait at least a day, sold my trailer, and the new aluminum one is at the shop getting new leaf springs and a bearing repack so I have no way to transport one home right now

(i'm sooo lazy)

you're sounding less and less like the diyer, lol, springs and bearing repack, I used to do that on my own, AND I didn't know what I was doing

lol, I was never much of a DIY'er and actually the trailer shop down the road only charges $10 for a repack ! Honestly, $10 (x2) is worth it to not get my hands dirty. The springs are only $24 and they only charge 1/2 hour labor, so for about $100 total, its a no brainier for me.

man.... for 100, that's like 2/3 of a single trailer :) haha, but I hear ya, it's actually worth it, I personally liked the learning part of doing it, but it was a hassle, esp when i had my first double trailer, i towed it from east of gainesville down, and I had no idea, but when i got ruskin, the bearings were toasted and the races were like welded to the axle, it took a lot of cutting and effort to clean things up

actually, that's how I discovered how cheap they were, I was trying to swap tires on my original double about 18 months ago and the friggen lug nuts were completely stuck, I tried a long breaker bar, pb blaster, a hammer, and all kinds of creative use of the english language, and those nuts just wouldn't friggen budge.... So I put the couple back on that I did get off and rolled it down to the shop (where I had purchased the tires) and said.... "how much to swap these tires" and he said "$10 each, and we can repack the bearings for $10 more" I almost did a cartwheel I was so dam happy !

that place comes in handy so often, since I still flip a trailer now and then, i try to snag the $100 beaters off CL, put new bunks and carpet, HF lights, and sell them for $250. I'm actually pretty good at carpeting bunks now. I just rarely mess with the bearings unless I really can hear them grinding, its a messy job I hate doing it.

But its nice to be able to snag brackets and stuff cheap with no shipping and no delay.

condition: fair

Up for grabs today is this beaut of a jet ski!! Bad CDI box and needs cleaning. But this baby can hall ass just needs some love

Yeah Oscar I think that one takes the cake. The left wheel well is flush with the ground from the years of pine straw dropping. We got real plants started in the left well. There is a moss growing on the engine. This should be a fifty dollar special!

I used pressure treated wood, sealed them with waterproofer and covered them with bunk carpet I got off amazon hella cheap.

pressure treated 2x6 , a little weldwood, and indoor/outdoor grey carpet from Home depot, precut by the employees for free. I still have 2x4 on my new trailer but it has triple brackets and the wood is solid and carpet in good condition, so i'm going to leave it alone for now. (I prefer 2x6 over 2x4, looks better, is very stable, and easy to walk down it in the water, much easier than 2x4)

very pretty.

When you cut about $1,000 off the price you'll be closer to accurate and might actually get a phone call, at $2,900 in Florida your wasting your time. My ski was much nicer, with several hundred in mods and sold for much less, just over 2,000 (and it took 5 months to find a buyer)
