how bout some more info? what kind of tower, hints and tips, and how long did it take you?
Ha Ha,no its not carpeted basecoat red with white splatter knockdown.
Tower came from ltwake.com I bought it in the middle of winter so it was cheaper.I beleive the tower speakers wakeboard rack lights and all hardware was like $1140ca.Pretty good price.doesnt shake or rattle or anything its nice and tight im happy with it.
Install: I had my cover on the boat first so I got an estimate of where factory mounts were due to to the holes for them in the cover and just went with that (estimate then measure both sides to make the same obviously)
The rears are super easy because you can access from inside. The fronts are a bit of a pain because there is no access. I used a 4" hole saw in the cooler compartment and in the storage compartment to create nice clean access holes. Use a holesaw and not a regular sawzall or jigsaw so you have a nice peice to return. All four corners require you to drill 4 holes each. The base mounts bolt right through to a backing plate on the inside.no need for loctite as the bolts are nylon lined.
Once your mounts are all on i setup the tower on the floor to temporarily assemble then have a buddy help you lift it on! each corner has four big allen keys to screw in. Last but not least the multi width bar across the top needs to be bolted in place so it cant go anywhere.(four nuts and bolts)
the wires for lights and stereo go down the one rail and into the area behind your guages. contact me for lights and stereo wiring if unsure, there is no need whatsoever to go spend 200 buck on a tower wiring kit.your local store has wire inexpensivly.
tip: I like to leave nuts and bolts a little loose to fit everything then tighten at the end when you know you have it where you want!
The tower folds up and down easyily by removing two rear allen bolts so it can go inside out of the weather.Pm me if you have any questions.Ive include a couple garage crapy cellphone pics for Dr Honda lol
