i finally had a good day with the 2 96xps usually i got out and every time either one is getting towed in or i have something to adjust when getting home finally i got home and they are already ready to go out again. well just thought id share that. thanks for all the info on here and all guys, i am thinking about getting rid of my fuel selector on one of them though becuase it kinda bogs down on reguar, but on reserve does great i a have already cleaned fuel selector. so my gas gauge works so i just want to bypass the selector

Thats awesome. im jealous. Hopefully Ill be proud of a flawless outing some day with my two. right now they are again both in the garage as of last nite. One now needs a top end rebuild as lost one cylinder, the other has an air leak at the exhaust bolt missing a nut, wet fouling the mag plug and not sure yet if its lean or rich, or if it flooding or not.. stupid carbs! gonna pull them off and start all over. wishing you and the rest of us trouble free fun.... wishful thinking i know.

Glad to hear it.

If you bypass the valve... don't run out of fuel.

Whats your jetting on those?

Stock/Factory.

Ya I won't run out of fuel since my gas gauge works. Anytime I get to one bar ill just come on in and had up. But what is the propose way to bypass it.

Just replace the selector valve with a new one. $35 bucks and 1/2 hour of your time for fun filled trouble free fun.
