Congrats on the truck.
Someone will have to pry my 2004.5 Ram Diesel with <49K miles as of today from my cold dead hands. I will never buy a diesel that requires DEF to drive it unless I can install a delete kit. Currently, I reside within the tri-county smog test region. If we ever get further out and the need arises, I might consider a new truck but the DEF system will get kicked to the curb. I will not be held hostage by the EPA. More than likely, I'd just move into something used that didn't require DEF.
I've had near zero issues with this truck, only just upgraded the steering system and will soon be putting on the first set of front brake pads. It's never required dealer service or repair beyond the initial scheduled services and I've kept it out of the hands of the fixers and their wonky code like the reverse horn, etc.
