I was thinking about that. That's almost your backyard. LOL

If I didn't have this trip this week... I would have told the dealer that I wanted to go up and get it. Heck... it's only 4 hrs from where I live.

Congrats on the truck my man! I have a 2012 ram 1500 with the hemi, love it, pulled my 22 foot travel trailer last summer with ease, this year if will be pulling my new 2000 speedster and the camper throughout summer. Keep us posted on that new motor, im sure you will love it.

Congrats on the truck.

Someone will have to pry my 2004.5 Ram Diesel with <49K miles as of today from my cold dead hands. I will never buy a diesel that requires DEF to drive it unless I can install a delete kit. Currently, I reside within the tri-county smog test region. If we ever get further out and the need arises, I might consider a new truck but the DEF system will get kicked to the curb. I will not be held hostage by the EPA. More than likely, I'd just move into something used that didn't require DEF.

I've had near zero issues with this truck, only just upgraded the steering system and will soon be putting on the first set of front brake pads. It's never required dealer service or repair beyond the initial scheduled services and I've kept it out of the hands of the fixers and their wonky code like the reverse horn, etc.

The DEF system doesn't bother me. $20 worth of fluid ovr a 10k mi duration is fine. BUT... The EGR is what kills me. Why recuculate sooty exhust back into the engine? They really didn't work on gas... why do they think that will work on a diesel??

But it's the DPF is the one I don't like. They can plug, and are expensive to replace.

Regardless... I will run the system, until I have an issue. Then it will be gone.

Anyway... Looks like there MAY be a light at the end of this tunnel. My truck was shuttled from where it was sitting, down to Toledo. AND... I now have an ETA of the 15th. I don't know if it actually got on a train or not... so I'm not holding my breath. But, I will know on Monday if it's actually moving. (finally)

Awesome brother! Not sure if you mentioned it above, but what color did you choose?
