hey guys i just been working on these skis for a couple weeks, when i got them one had a crack in the motor and the other one was bogging a little and they were both really dirty, The bunks were falling apart and the winches were all crapy,

so far i have put a motor in the other ski fixed the bogging issues and i put all new bunks and carpet, new winches and did some touch up paint, put new wear rings and changed the jet pump fluid... The skis must have set in the water on a dock or something from a previos owner cause they had black stains on the bottoms, i have been working on getting those off for a while and finally got under there pretty good and got it all shiny again, Today i used some turtle wax and waxed her up really good. i took a few pics today and i wanted to show lou how i did my rpm gauge tomorrow i am going to hit it again with buffing, any ideas on the hoods to make them shine some more? i am going to be getting new seat covers soon to, also were can i get a fire extinguisher that will fit in the little compartments mine are bad

Brandon,

Really lookin good, the trailer too, like the new winches, looks just like mine. Got any before pics.

Think I'll mount the tach in the same place, if there's not enough room between the gauges. Any problem with getting the tach wet?

I went to the AT&T store today to replace my Cel. thats at the bottom of the lake swimming with the fish, I was due for an upgrade and got a new Blackberry Curve 3G for $30.00.

Lou

Brandon,

If your ski is the same yellow as mine, and I think it is, got a tip for you. I bought a spray can of paint at Lowes to use for touch-ups. It's Rust-Oleum Farm Equipment Yellow, matches perfect. I just spray a little into a small cup and dab it on with a small foam brush.

awsome thanks for the tip lou, my main thing i am ordering next is covers since they are staying outside in the sunlight and all, i can put them in the garage but its such a tight fit and the driveway is steap its not worth it except for the winter i take them out about every other weekend or sometimes every weekend so i am ordering covers from pwctoday sight for 100 each is the cheapest i found,

I've always wanted an 800 XP. Every time I find one local... they are either beat, or they want too much for it.

Good luck with the project... and give us an update on the tach.

Its a $35 tach guys it prob wont last more than 5 years...but neither did the old tiny tachs. They are supposed to be water proof.

Lookin good Brandon! I perfer Jettrim seat covers personally, but they are pretty expensive. Nothing wrong with the $100 AP designs cover that parts unlimited sells...or the HT or BT.
