I recently purchased a used 96' Speedster from a local Seadoo shop. I'm dropping it off tomorrow to get the MPEM reinstalled, had to have it fixed because of the 5AMP fuse blowing issue. Now a few questions.

1. How much time can I expect on a full tank of gas, just cruising around the lake?

2. Is there an alternative Oil solution the BRP oil seems rather expensive for something you burn off?

3. Is it possible to replace the twin battery setup with 1 larger battery?

There is a lot of good reading on this site that will answer most of you questions.
as to the time to use a full tank will depend on the way you operate you boat.
WOT will not take long for you to be empty. I to have a 96 Speedster and I can get about 2 hours of use at WOT.
As to the oil well there are lots of debate on what to use and what not so all I can recommend is read as much as you can on the subject and them make up your own mind.
For me I use Castrol and I still have great compression, 150PSi on both engines.
Now for the batteries there is a post on how to change them over to one but for the cost of these small batteries I will leave them in.
Hope this helps.
Again there is a lot of usefull info on here, it's help me often and will contine to.

If you replace the dual batteries, then you lose the ability to cross them over (the boost switch on your console). I have used this feature about 5 times in 14 years and it has saved my butt. I keep both batteries on Battery Tenders.

Using another oil 'may' cause your induction valve to coke over and stick. I stay with Sea Doo oil, a small price for so much fun.

My 1995 has original engines never been overhauled.
