Exhaust Water Exit Hole

Old ski exhaust cooling question. When the engine is running at any speed is there supposed to be water coming out of the hole in the picture I attached?
The reason I ask is my exhaust manifold water exit tube runs out of this hole. Sometimes there's a solid stream when I'm cruising and sometimes there isn't.

Disconnect the tube from the engine and blow air through it gently. You could have debris or a restriction in the line or fitting.. Some skis get barely a dribble at idle and as RPM increases the power of the steam gets stronger. The purpose of the tattle tale is two-fold. One is that it bleeds the air out of the engine's cooling system and Two gives you a visible reference. I wouldn't be too concerned since you ski is obviously happy but the cause is worth investigating.

A good check would be to connect the hose to your cooling system and see if you get a steady stream of water. Note: The engine must be running while doing this. Good Luck.
