every thing catching fire!!

Hi all
just found out that the wiring inside my black electrical box (96 xp 800) for the vts has managed to catch fire all other wiring around the ski is fine it just the holder. now WTF caused that? it was working fine when it was put away and it just sat in the garage doing nothing, it hasn't even moved! its only the two wire from and to the fuse which is more strange as its not like that part even draws any power. pics to follow if i can figure it out.

A short would cause damage to all the wiring or probably take the fuse out first pics coming up now.

as you can see no damage after a couple inches up the wires all other wires seem intact just have carbon on which wipes off.

Whatever module that is where the 2 red wires plug into looks like it over heated (shorted out).

if you mean the bottom left ( major burnt bit) then that (was) a fuse.

Replace your ground wires they look eff
