Erratic behaviour

I just verified that my 98 GTX limited (951) LSA's are set at 1 1/4 turns. My mag side HSA at 0, and my PTO HSA at 1/4.

On idle , it is very erratic and will idle at 1100 and then jump up to 2000 for a second then back down to 1100 and continue that pattern during idle and sometimes stall. As soon as I give it throttle (1/4) its fine half a throttle fine as well. If I cruise at half a throttle, it will cruise fine, then bog down for a split second, then cruise fine again. Almost keeps pulsating with a bog.
How do I tweak this with the LSA or HSA's? I don't like to mess with them , because im not 100% on the affect.
Thanks

Grey fuel lines? Carbs cleaned lately? Internal filters in carbs cleaned or replaced? Fuel selector cleaned or replaced? That's where I would start.

You don't tweak the lsa at that point, you need to pull the carbs and check your pop off pressure first. Another thing to consider with erratic idle is an air leak. With it running spray a shot of carb cleaner around the base of the carbs and around the intake manifold. Any rpm change indicates an air leak in that area. Next step after that would be an engine leak down/vacuum test. Are all your reed valves in good shape and not stuck open? While you have the carbs off check them out.
