Does anyone know the torque specs for the head on the 130hp 2 stroke engine? It's a 2002 seadoo sporster. Help.....

Manual says for 2002 sporster le 34 lbf, speedster 24 lbf and explore 24 lbf all other models say 80 lbf

If you have a aftermarket manual... then toss it in the trash. If you have a factory service manual... Take a look again. the the 800 and smaller engines use 17 Lb/ft torque. (24 N-m) The 951 needs around 25 Lb/ft (34 N-m) for the carb version, and 30 Lb/ft (40 N-m) for the RFI. (these are 2002 specs)

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE INFO IF YOU DON'T KNOW. 80 Lb/ft would rip the studs out of the engine block.

I do see where you are stating 951 RFI motor.. is this same spec for 951 gtx DI motor?

thanks for info, appreciate it.

also if you can help.. have new top end kit with cylinders from sbt and i'm losing compression when i run it. I used copper spray for the gasket, and checking compression shows me about 135, when i start it and recheck, it goes down to 100 psi. I redid the spray again and get same 135; ran it and back down to 100psi.

any help is appreciated

To budsyboo - He has a Sportster, so wouldn't it be 34ftlbs by your posting?????? What manual do you have? ...Clymer, Chilton or Seadoo?
I think Doc is correct.
