Whats up guys. Looking for some pointers on what to check for, i feel as if i went over everything. While riding, ski just shut off, zero battery power, no gauges or beeps, wont crank. Pulled the solenoid box off where the positives and negatives go in (there was water inside) and i noticed a small 3 inch red wire with the eye broken off. I reconnected to the red solenoid wire where it was. My battery shorted out in this process, dont know if the wire popping off caused or not. Bought a new battery, still nothing. The motor WILL crank when i skip the starter and jump the solenoid. I do not see any IN-LINE fuses inside the ski. All the fuses in the front fuse box are good. The stator seems good, no wires look burnt or corroded. What do i try next?

My 96 SPI did the same thing but probably different circumstances. I was zipping around a bend int he river, negotiating a sand bar and a log, Hooked up and then... DEAD. Never to crank again. Not sure what my problem is but my battery was shorted also. My ECM failed. I replaced it and... nothing. I'm thinking my coil in the magento area shorted. Disgusting is what it is. Good Luck !! Post up what you find. What model ski??

I have a 2000 gs, i just put a brand new motor in last year too im no good once electrical problems occur

Ha ha... that is a growth area for me as well. I hate that shiznit ! but I gotta fix it myself. Check your MPEM to make sure it is still good. There is a procedure on the repair manual with values. You'll need an Ohm Meter.
