Hi Guys,

I have an issue that I cant seem to resolve. Boat was winterized by local boat shop last fall, battery unhooked and stored sepatate. This week I charged the battery, hooked it up and I can start the engine but have no other eletrical. No gauges, no horn, blower, bilge pump, radio, etc. I have been tracing wires for hours but it has to be something simple that I am missing.

Any thoughts or suggestions??

Thanks

My 01 challenger 2000 has 2 negative (black) cables to be attached to the negative battery post. When I hooked everything up this year I forgot about the second cable. All of my accessories worked but no start until I connected the second cable. Maybe that is your issue as well.

Well, that sounds too easy, and I have spent too much time in there, Im sure I would have seen it, but thanks for the tip im going back out to look...

I dont think that is the issue as there seems to be a small amount of power coming through. The clock on the radio will show up but if you try to turn it on, it goes blank. But will still look, thanks again

I owe you a huge thank you...

And I feel like such a putz...There was another ground, just a small gauge wire, and it was tucked under some others where i didnt see it LOL

Hooked it up and everything works as its supposed to. Again thanks very much, I have spent over 8 hours chasing wires and fuses to be beat by something so simple...

Hope I can repay the favor some day!! Very happy camper now!

I am new to this too and I thought I had a problem as well this year. I am glad to hear all is well and I have already gotten so much good info from the guys on this forum it feels good to make a contribution.

Enjoy your boat, I can't wait until im back out tomorrow.
