I purchased a 97 challenger last year and pulled the motor before the Ohio freeze but the driveshaft boot was torn quickly in the process and the seal is damaged - I have a spare grease fitting style from my 95GTX - besides the need for grease which I do regularly already on the GTX are there any other reasons not to use this older style seal carrier? I am watching snipe's engine repair thread closely, we have the same boat with very similar heating problem although I wish I had quit earlier and maybe I could have saved my piston from the upper ring land failure, what say you all about WSM molly, Wiseco and OEM pistons, they are all available with little difference in price - 50bux anyway, having owned a seadoo a long time I know they design everything very well, I ride my GTX to Canada often and the fuel/time is very consistent each trip.
Thanx in advance for the ideas with the boat driveline - PPG did my 650 crank and it seems to work like new now 3 years running.
