Drivers side front Hatch. Seadoo 150 sportster 215

Had the gas shock replaced which imo is far to small to hold up a hatch of this size from the nose. Even new it just holds but only if the wind is not blowing. If so expect to get hit in the head So I been asking around and was told Seadoo has only the OEM Gas Shock so I am sure someone or many of you have also found yourself in my position. That said has anyone found an After Market Heavy Duty Gas Shock that still installs with out any mods? If so I can't wait to hear from you.

I'd like to know the answer to this one as well... gouged up my hand pretty good on the weekend when the hatch lid fell. Any recommendations for a new shock absorber?

Usually they all mount the same. Take it into your local auto zone or auto parts store and have them match t up with one.
