Hey Guys and Gals,

Just a technical question here. I'm wanting to know how the driveline/shaft seal is cooled? Its the area where there is a small rubber cover, coverering a metal round seal, just behind it is a rubber bellow. Hopefully you know what I mean! When i flush engine for approx 3 mins out of the water this seal gets quite hot. How is it cooled when the ski is in the water?

Cheers!

It gets cooled from the water you are riding in so no cooling when running out of the water. The carbon seal can get damaged from too much heat 3 minutes for a flush is too long it only needs 1 minute max to flush the exhaust.

On or off the hose, 1 minute is the most you should need. If you do not need to flush the engine, being on the hose means nothing.
