Hey guys, i need to change my starter out and i read somewhere that i can just unbolt a few engine mounts and but a block under the side i unscrewed and take off the starter from there. But can the drive shaft move a little and still be connected?? It seems like it would break unless i took the driveshaft out.
Thanks,
Charlie

The drive shaft will move very little. Also... there is too much other stuff bolted to the engine that won't want to move. AND... if you unbolt the mounts... you take the chance of messing up the alignment of the engine. I would recommend NOT unbolting the engine to get the starter out.

If you remove the carbs... you will see the starter.
