Gang,
been doing alot of reading and i have figured out my Cavaitation issue maybe caused by a drive Shaft Seal issue. i have attached 2 pics which i believe pic 1 is correct but pic number 2 has an issue and wondering if anyone has a fix or what maybe be needed or missing and any info on how to begin to repair..There is clamps for the Carbon ring i just removed them first to have a peek

thanks for all the help

your "secure" o-ring broke, which aloud the steel collar to slide back onto the dust boot. Get the new c-clip style for it.

thanks for the advise..so i guess Picture one is correct and need to slide the steel ring from picture two forward and install C clip..Can this Steel ring be pushed forward with easy to intall C clip or do i need to take something off

i tried moving by hand forward but she seems to be stiff just moving by hand..any advise??

Cheers,

spray some wd-40 on/inside the steel collar. try to spin it first, then push toward rear of boat, it'll move.

Could be tuff, because the existing o-ring is wadded up in it. Use pliers, pipe wrench..etc, to get it to spin/free up, then push on her.
