Eye candy...

I dont' see the eye candy.....LOL, j/k

Wow, the old girl looks great to be a 99. Glad you've been able to find all you need here to keep her going......Congrats on a nice looking boat and all the hard work you've done...........

thanks all - took it out today and it worked great, was a lil scared yesterday cause i started it in my driveway and it ran at 3000 rpm but when i put it in the lake it ran at 1100 rpm just like the forums said when i punched it in the search last nite, keep the info coming!!

Looks great!!!! Did you buy that Bimini? If so, any links or info? I am looking for one for my 98 Speedster and really like the one you have.

right outa the overtons magazine,i replaced all the hardware tho with stainless steel cause the ones that come with it are cheap. i also learned a lil trick of slideing 1/2 emt tubing inside the aluminum tubes to re inforce them and they hold up to higher speeds

Do you have the part number out of the catalog? That seems to fit perfect. Also, how did you get to the underside to mount it. I think i can get to all the screws using the holes for my speakers, just curious how you did it.

i bought the sunbrella item # 80425 i believe it was $370 then i bought the hardware from a local bimini shop after the ones that came with it broke on the hiway heading to the lake. i also got to them from my speaker holes i cut out. make sure to post your pics when your done.. as far as the LED's i said almost tried all the mods, i still have several to go,but if your offering sponserships i'll gladly let you put em in.

I am totally confused. When I look for that part number on overton's, it looks totally different from yours. The one you have looks much stronger. Yours has 2 metal poles mounted per side and also, what looks like an extra one on the left side. From the pics it looks like there is an extra bar going from the side to the rear of the boat. Did you add these or reinforce the whole thing? The sunbrella and the cheaper ones sold on ebay all look cheap and flimsy. Yours looks much better, which is why I like it. I dont see anything like this on the websites for the covers, so I am just curious. Thanks

your right, i totaly re-did the supports, the one from overtons came with the standard straps front and rear-when i bought the brackets from the local shop i had em throw in scraps of tubing and made stand off rear supports, the two that angle from the main support are there so i can fold the bimini back and haul with the top upright kinda like a roll bar,and then i ran one at an angle to the top of the rear seat so that the top doesn't shake when going accross the lake-really stabilizes it bigg time i can cruise at 50mph and no worries. i really didnt care to lay the top all the way down on the hatch, this way i can still raise the hatch without messing with the bimini.i used those quick connects that you just compress the latch and pull upwards so that it is still possible to lay it all the way down for when i back into the garage.

And to answer phough5757 it is a wrap, inspired my my 5 year old daughter-and before you ask-it cost me $400 , lot cheaper than repainting and faster results it even makes the boat 10mph faster

oohh yeah dont forget to add the noodles cut to size before you mount it all together, they slide right over the tubes and come in many colors to match your boat lol

turf came from hydro turf, got thier phone # off their website and called them they had it delivered two days later-great company

I am bringing this back up because I think I am finally ready to add the Bimini. The only mod I have left really. With the way it comes standard, does it have pins or something that pull out, so it can be folded down easily. It wont clear my garage while up.

you can buy quick releases that just require a finger to slide the pin out of the connector, they just snap in and out. any bimini or canvass shop usually carries them.- approx.$20 per pair

So i bought a bimini off ebay and got it on. I like it except it wont fit under the cover. I have heard the OEM bimini will fit under a cover, so I am trying to see what others are out there that may fit.
