here is what my impeller and wear ring look like. I think it needs to be replaced but I'm new to this whole thing. The impeller has a lot of dings and dents. Wear ring feels smooth but there is a large gap as you can see in the pics. I measured 4mm from the tip of the impeller to the wear ring. Gap is even all the way around though so I think the bearings should still be ok. Last time I took it out it took forever to plane and it sounded like it was pegged out. Held 7K RPM the whole time though. Top speed was 35. What do you guys think?
