I have some damage to the front and bottom (just under the seam line acrross the bow) of my 1998 Seadoo Sportster:mad::(
I was talking with someone about repair and he asked me if I knew if the top hull came off for access to repair on the inside of the bottom of the hull. Can anyone tell me if the top comes off (i.e., take out rivets around the boat seam) so that someone can repair in inside of the bottom part of the boat hull?

Thanks!

Yeks, that would be a big job...I'm not sure if the 2 parts are glued together or not...Try to get it repaired as it sits.

I would assume that the hull and the deck are glued with 3M 5200. So they would be almost impossible to separate.

If you really need access, cut a hole for an access cover. That will let you get your hand under the deck and when you're done put the cover in.
