Dim lcd display

Hi! I’m new to this forum posting thing, and I’m also new to owning a sportster 150 (2007), I’m having display problems. Images appear dim, although I can still see the readout. Is this a polarization issue, as with some of the jetski displays, or should I look for some other issue.
All help appreciated.

Usually dim lcds are from being sunburnt and the only way to fix is to replace the polarization film. I don't know of anybody repairing your gauge style and the only real fix for sunburn is to replace which is about $500.
