Digital display dead

2002 GTX 4TEC. Both the digital info and the analog speedo and tach are dead. The Doo got wet when I put it in (OPAS tubes needed replacing) dried it out and ran normal for two weeks until now.
When I plus the key in it chirps twice then gives a long beep. Still chirps twice after that until start. Engine starts and runs with no apparent issues. I have checked every plug from the display unit to the MPEM. The plug at the display seemed really easy to unplug as I did not have to squeeze the lock tabs in to remove. I checked the one amp fuse on the MPEM and it is good.
What's next?

Ok. Thanks.
But before I take out a second mortgage to buy a new Info center, section 11-04-5 of the service manual has some checks to do. I understand looking at the fuse and the power supply and ground. But the manual says to check the communication link wires by disconnecting a sensor on the engine to create a fault code. If the Info center is dead what good will this do?
I will continue to trouble shoot.....

Tried a new cluster and same symptoms. Checked all of the wires again and then the gauge lit up. Now the gauges are intermittent. Will work for a while then go dark with one long beep. The doo will keep running even with the display dark. While running it will light up again. This is happening in calm water, no pounding around in waves. Today when I plugged in the key the display lit up normally but during idle about 3 minutes later it went dark again with one long beep. Could it be the dess key? Or the post?

I have been thinking about this all winter and today got back into tracing wires and low and behold found the power wire for the cluster pulled right out of the plug at the MPEM. it looks corroded and needs to be replaced. Has anybody done this? Where could I get parts to fix this wire or is there another fix? Thanks for any help.

Yes I have replaced one of the connectors on the MPEM. The poorly designed locking tab was broken, and I would get intermittent electrical problems as you have described. Replacing the connector is easy; take your time and replace one wire at a time.

I ran a google search for the part number. I had to use my Dremel tool to cut a new slot in the side of the connector so it would match the old one. Sea-Doo updated the part from the '02 version. The instructions are in the service manual, and you have to purchase a very inexpensive pin tool (got that on Ebay). Make sure you get a can of Dexoit and spray the MPEM and the harness.

Thanks mkov608. One wire has broken from the connector. It happens to be the power for the display cluster. I should be able to crimp and solder a new end onto the wire then push it into the connector. But first I have to remove the remaining bit of the sleeve out of the connector.

Follow up. It definately was the power wire for the display. The female pin in the amp plug at the mpem was corroded so bad that the wire was broken off. Found a replacement at a repair shop that was close to the original and altered it to fit. It came to life and every works. After I put everything back together I plugged the key back in and the beeper was silent..... But everything else works. I guess I will have to follow wires again, if I want to hear that insistent beep again....
BTW, I was able to return the replacement display that I purchased for a full refund so the repair cost $2.00 for some new pins...

Before tracing wires, test the signal to the beeper with a 12v test light. The beepers fail constantly.
