Dess post interchange ??

I was wanting to know what dess post will interchange with a 97 sp .. Or can i change it to old style like my 95 xp ?

You can use any DESS post.

No... you can't use a regular switch like your 95 has. That's not a DESS post... it's just a kill switch. Once the security has been enabled in the MPEM, you can't turn it off.

wouldnt go say'n that. Yes the "dess" post are the same, as far as functioning..(reading the landyard), but the connection to the mpem, are/can be different.

Exp.....gotta 96xp with 96gsx "guts", also have a 97spx mpem and all its elect componants. The dess post from the spx is a 4-plug, where the gsx one is a 3-plug. Yeah, same color wires..etc, but dif'rent plug style.

But they can be cut, and the old plug soldered on.

BUT... to make it easy on yourself... buy one with the matching plug.

Thanks for the info .. Mine has 3 wires so if i find one with 3 wires they should be same ,, correct?

the wires are the same, its the connecter, that the wires are in. Depend'n model/yr, think seadoo got lazy and used then, 4wire plug, but only 3-wires in it.
