DESS Key ((Yellow))

How can you tell when your DESS key contacts are worn or defective? Today, I had to re-seat the key several times on my 2007 GTI SE 130 (60 Hrs) to start it. Had an awesome time on the river, despite the key problem. I even attempted to out run a Kawasaki ultra 300, and you know the rest of the story.

They get dirty. Use a pencil eraser and clean the contacts on the DESS and the lanyard.
