decal covered area

I took all the factory decals off my 95 speedster. I'm in the process of putting custom decals on. What can i do to bring the shine back and match the areas that where covered by the factory decals?

I just got done doing the same thing with the state letters on my RXT. I used a good liquid wax, and buffed that out. Then I went over it with Penatrol, wich is a oil based paint additive that is used to remove brush marks. But it works very well at bringing the shine back to fiberglass. Good luck.
