HELP

So I am going back togehter with my 787. I just found out why there are 3 cylinder base gaskets. You have to go back withhte same one (holes in gasket) as you removed. Only problem is I trashed the old gasket. The engine is in the boat so I can't do the volume test. I have a 3, 4 and six hole gasket.
I did not do any crank work but did go up one size on the pistons.

Anybody think its OK to go withthe 4 and be OK?

If you have new pistons... you need to verify the squash band. If it's too tight... you may burn up a piston, or beat your lower rod bearing to death. Do the test, and change the gasket if needed.

Being lazy on this could kill you new engine.
